Jaydyn Brown

Jaydyn Brown is a dominant and imposing post player with the ability to spread the floor. Her strong 6 '1'' frame combined with her deceptive speed and agility has been described by coaches as problematic for opponents. Defensively, Jaydyn’s quick feet and physical presence have the ability to alter shots, deter even the strongest finishers, and allow her to switch onto smaller, quicker players and keep them in front of her. Offensively, her assertive post presence draws double and triple teams. With her strong court vision, she’s able to pass out of the post, creating open shots for her teammates.
While Jaydyn’s impact is felt on both the offensive and defensive ends, it’s clear that she thrives on the glass. As an aggressive and consistent rebounder, Jaydyn takes pride in boxing out her opponents and giving her team every advantage to get the rebound, even if she doesn’t collect it herself. By staying relentless in her pursuit, she draws fouls by gaining early position, provides scoring through offensive putbacks, and starts fastbreaks for her team on defensive rebounds.
With her sights set on improving and diversifying her all-around game, Jaydyn can be found working out with D1 womens’ basketball alumni, Kady Schrann, conditioning and strength training at the gym, and putting up shots and working on post moves in the driveway. She also plays volleyball and participates in track and field, both of which can be seen in her overall basketball game. Her training as an outside hitter and a middle hitter for volleyball has increased her quickness and explosiveness. And her training as a thrower has helped her gain overall strength and smooth footwork.
