Scouting Report

Natalie Freed at 5'11" can play the two or three on any team. She has developed in a "defensive-minded" system and is extremely valuable at guarding both on the perimeter or in the paint. In recent years, her development as a strong athlete has shown in her play around the basket and as a rebounder. Her above average Basketball IQ makes her extremely valuable in a pressing system and she brings a tough-minded, versatile defender.

Natalie is the top three-point shooter on a very good shooting team. She led the team in makes from the three-point arc. She is no stranger to hitting the big shot as she is the favorite option when the team needs a made shot. In recent years, Natalie has added an ability to get to the rim from the perimeter and a variety of strong low-post moves. This has turned her into a "triple-threat" option on the offensive end of the floor.

Natalie has a strong desire to improve and is an outstanding teammate. She would be a very strong addition to any basketball team at the next level.

Personal Message

From the day I started playing basketball at the age of 8 I knew it was my passion. I grew up as an athlete playing many sports but I always knew that basketball was what I truly loved. Starting in middle school I was playing on multiple teams. I was going from my school teams basketball game straight to my CYO practice and then to training the next day. Learning from a young age what it takes to make yourself a better player has taught me lessons that will forever live on. Through basketball I have gained immense amounts of new skills such as time management and leadership. In 9th grade I decided to make a switch and go to a new school for the intention of a better basketball team and program. This was the most pivotal moment of my life so far. Through this journey of high school basketball and AAU I have met lifelong friends and been faced with many challenges, but achieved so much. Transitioning into my last year of AAU basketball I can truly look back on my career thus far and see how much this sport has shaped me into who I am today. I am forever grateful for the people I get to surround myself with and the upcoming opportunities that I may receive.
